Next week, from April 25 to 29, takes place, in Washington, D.C., the Spring Meeting of the Section of International Law of the American Bar Association (ABA-SIL). On Thursday, April 27, SCHARLACK’s founding partner, José Rubens Scharlack, will participate on a panel that shall discuss how to structure assets in a tax transparent environment.
The panel will explore the recent global developments in tax transparency as a result from bilateral tax treaties and also as an outcome from the BEPS, FATCA and CRS initiatives. Viewing the issue from the standpoint of Brazilian tax law, Mr. Scharlack will analyze how these initiatives have affected Brazil’s tax environment and how taxpayers can still seek tax efficiency in their businesses while remaining compliant with transparency requirements.
